In the first week of August, an intrepid party of cricketers (and groupies) will travel down to Devon, an annual pilgrimage that has taken place over the past 35 years. This year is an extra special year, as we sadly mourn the passing of original tour founder, and Meopham CC club legend, Brian Sambrook.
We will be staying at the Livermead House Hotel, which is perfectly located for our three fixtures, and is within easy striking distance of Torquay and the many delights that the town offers.
We play Brixham in a T20 on Tuesday 1 August, Torquay on Wednesday 2nd and Paignton on Thursday 3rd. For golfers, Paignton host their club golf day on the Friday and Meopham CC members are encouraged to get involved.
Hotel costs are £56 per person per night, B&B accommodation. There will be an additional tour fee which will cover pitch hire fee to our hosts, match balls, teas, tour apparel and whip money. This figure will vary on length of stay, games played, number of tourists etc.
Contact Tony Pearce or Dave Pollard for more information, numbers are higher than 2016, so please don't leave it to the last minute, get yourself booked in NOW!
